The Nike Air Cruz, also known as the Nike signature shoe of NFL star Victor Cruz made its debut close to a year and a half ago. Were finishing of the year 2016 and Nike is still dishing out new colorways of the inaugural model. No word yet on when or if the Air Cruz 2 is in the works, but in the mean time we’re all getting ready for the Nike Air Cruz Black Suede to drop.
Releasing next Friday for $150, the Nike Air Cruz Black Suede keeps thing simple and easy. It starts off with a Black suede upper with woven textile detailing around the ankle and heel. The all-black upper is broken up by the White midsole/outsole as well as the White speckling on the laces. The strap on the midfoot and the branding on the tongue also come in Black. In my opinion, the Air Cruz was lakcing the wow factor. It’s too similar to trainers we’ve seen from Nike in the past. Not sure if it sold well this past year and a half, but I’d be surprised if an Air Cruz 2 is in the works.
