When I got word that the shoe above was known as the Vans SK8-Hi Slim Zip Hologram, the firs thing that came to mind was: “where is the hologram on the shoe?”. It’s only when I took a closer look at the shoe that I realized that Vans opted to keep the hologram look very low key.
The women’s Vans SK8-Hi Slim Zip Hologram is done in a Black leather upper accompanied by even more Black noted on the sidestripe branding, waxed laces, stitching and tongue. Hits of White are noted on the tongue branding and sole. So what about the hologram on the shoe? Take a look at the inner lining of the shoe and you will find a leather done in hologram fashion. Thoughts? If you like it, you can now find these at select Vans retailers for $85.

Nice, simple and very wearable. I don’t really care for the hologram lining, but aside from that it’s a nicely done shoe.
