This upcoming Air Jordan 12 CNY, reminiscent of the AJ 12 Taxi, celebrates Chinese New Year, which is scheduled to occur on January 28th — the Year of The Rooster.
Featuring a classic palette, white leather is utilized for the majority of its upper, and it also bears a 3M reflective overlay that is activated when exposed to flash. Textured black leather that mimics woven wood panels are are further applied on the mudguard and heel tab to round its makeup, while woodgrain detailing is prominent on the miniature branded side panels and its top two upper eyelets.
Finally, a distinguishable element is focalized at the tongue, bearing Chinese text of ‘貳拾’, which translates to “20” — in reference to the years that Jordan Brand has been in the Chinese market.
